Privacy Policy

Last updated: October14th  2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Software Licenses Shop LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operator of https://softwarelicenseshop.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. We are a US company that markets primarily to customers in the United States and may also accept orders from other countries. This policy explains our privacy practices when you visit the Site or purchase our digital products.

1. Information We Collect

  1. Information you provide directly: your name, email address, billing address, order details (including products purchased and order number), and information you provide when contacting us. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and subscription preferences.
  2. Billing information: payments are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. Payment card details are entered through Stripe’s secure payment service. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code on our servers. We may receive limited payment and transaction details (such as card brand, last four digits, and transaction status) needed to confirm and manage your order.
  3. Automatically collected information: when you visit the Site, we and our analytics or advertising partners may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring website, and visit times.
  4. Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functions and may use them for analytics, advertising measurement, and remarketing, including through Google services. See our Cookie Policy for further information and available choices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  1. Fulfill your order – process payment, manage your purchase, and email your digital product details, such as license keys, download links, and activation or redemption instructions;
  2. Provide customer support, including free activation assistance (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time);
  3. Prevent fraud and abuse — verify orders, detect unauthorized payment use, and protect the integrity of our license keys;
  4. Comply with legal obligations — tax, accounting, and record-keeping requirements;
  5. Improve the Site — analyze usage through analytics tools;
  6. Send newsletters or promotional emails only when you choose to subscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our marketing emails or by contacting support@softwarelicenseshop.com. Order confirmations, delivery information, receipts, and support messages are not newsletter communications.

3. Payment Processing via Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your card data under its own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy. Because card data goes directly to Stripe, our servers never handle or store full payment card numbers. We encourage you to review Stripe’s privacy policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell customer contact lists for money. We disclose personal information to service providers and other partners as needed to operate the Site and provide the services described in this policy. These may include:

  1. Payment providers – including Stripe, for payment processing and fraud prevention;
  2. Email and communication providers – to send order emails, license details, support communications, and newsletters that you choose to receive;
  3. Analytics and advertising partners – including Google Analytics and Google Ads, where used, for website analytics, conversion measurement, and advertising or remarketing. Some disclosures for targeted advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain US privacy laws, even when no money is paid for personal information. See our Cookie Policy and Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page for privacy choices. Google’s privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy;
  4. Legal and regulatory authorities – where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect rights, or address security concerns.

We do not give customer contact lists to unrelated businesses for their independent direct marketing.

5. Data Retention
  1. Order and transaction records are retained as needed for tax, accounting, support, and legal purposes – generally up to seven (7) years.
  2. Support correspondence is retained for up to three (3) years to assist with current and repeat issues.
  3. Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the services we use and for as long as reasonably needed for website analysis and advertising measurement.
  4. Newsletter subscription information is kept while you are subscribed or as needed to maintain records of your communication preferences and comply with applicable law.
  5. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it as appropriate, subject to legal and operational requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect personal information, including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and secure payment processing through Stripe. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We will provide any notices of a data breach required by applicable law.

7. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to our business, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses or disclosures, including targeted advertising. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

To make a privacy request, email support@softwarelicenseshop.com and provide enough information for us to locate your records. We may take reasonable steps to verify requests when appropriate and will respond within the period required by applicable law.

California Residents (CCPA, as amended)

Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have rights to:

  1. Know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it;
  2. Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  3. Request correction of inaccurate information;
  4. Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  5. Exercise their privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

We do not sell customer contact lists for money. However, certain analytics or advertising technologies may involve disclosures legally classified as a sale or sharing. Where required, we provide opt-out choices through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page and honor applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC).

You may also email support@softwarelicenseshop.com to exercise applicable privacy rights. We may verify requests where permitted or required and will respond within the legally required time.

California Notice at Collection

The main categories of personal information we collect and their uses are summarized below:

  • Identifiers (such as name, email, billing address, and IP address): collected from you or your device for orders, communication, support, fraud prevention, and analytics. Disclosed to payment, email, analytics, or advertising partners as described above. Certain online identifiers may be shared for targeted advertising.
  • Commercial information (such as products purchased, order numbers, and transaction amounts): collected during purchases and from payment confirmations for order processing, support, refunds, and record-keeping. Disclosed to relevant payment and operational service providers.
  • Internet or network activity (such as pages visited, browser and device details, referring websites, and visit times): collected through the Site and, where enabled, analytics or advertising technologies for website improvement, ad measurement, and remarketing. Certain information may be shared for targeted advertising.
  • Limited payment information (such as card brand, last four digits where provided, and transaction status): received from our payment processor for payment confirmation, refunds, and fraud prevention. Full card numbers are processed by Stripe rather than stored by us.

We do not intentionally request government identification numbers, precise geolocation information, or passwords for third-party software accounts as part of ordinary checkout. Retention periods and criteria are described in Section 2.5.

All US Customers

Regardless of your state, you may contact support@softwarelicenseshop.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond and honor such requests to the extent required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site and our products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact support@softwarelicenseshop.com so we can take appropriate action.
